Enterprise Cleveland heads up the Cuyahoga County Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition, a group of over 30 community-based groups, social service providers, businesses and institutions involved in providing free tax preparation services to low-income residents. Over 125 volunteers are trained each year to work out of 17 neighborhood sites, helping to prepare an increasing number of tax returns each year. In 2006, over 1,500 federal returns will be done, bringing in over $1.5 million to low-income Cuyahoga County residents. In addition to free tax preparation services, financial literacy and other family opportunity services are provided.
